The Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, OH will be home to tonight’s final WWE pay-per-view before WrestleMania 35. The Fastlane event started back in 2015 and has been the final PPV before ‘Mania ever since. Nine matches are scheduled for the card, including two kickoff show matches.

Outside of the title matches, The Shield return for “One Last Run” and we will have the set match for the historic Raw Women’s Championship match that is set to be the main event at WrestleMania. Here are predictions for each match.

Big E & Xavier Woods vs. Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura (pre-show)

Prediction: Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura win

Advertised on social media just days before the event, New Day members Big E and Xavier Woods will take on Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura.

The Rusev-Nakamura alliance is an interesting one. They teamed up a few weeks back after they both lost there United States Championship opportunities. If WWE wants to make this heel team legit, they need a victory. With other New Day member Kofi Kingston not scheduled for tonight and in the plans for the WWE Championship, Big E and Woods can take the loss here and continue to be at the side of Kingston. Not a lot to write home about, but these guys can put on a solid match to start the show.

Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade (pre-show)

Prediction: Andrade wins

An on and off feud, Rey Mysterio goes up against Andrade. It is weird to see this being pushed to the pre-show, given that there is some storyline to go on here.

Andrade needs to win here. Since being called up to the main roster, he has not met up to the expectations we were hoping to see from the former NXT star. Majority of this is on WWE for not knowing how to book him but giving him the win against a veteran like Mysterio will help. Much like the prior kickoff match mentioned, this match will be exciting to watch.

The Shield vs. Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley

Prediction: The Shield wins

With Dean Ambrose set to leave after his contract expires at WrestleMania, WWE is pushing The Shield run as “the last time ever.”

With Roman Reigns making his return and Seth Rollins facing Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, there is no way The Shield lose here.

It will be nice to see the trio together once again and they will dispose of the heel team here. It’ll be interesting to see what the plan is for Reigns and Ambrose at ‘Mania 35.

Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch

Prediction: Becky Lynch wins to advance to the Raw Women’s Championship match at WM 35

Becky Lynch winning here should be a lock. The Lynch/Flair/Ronda Rousey storyline has been dragged out since Survivor Series. Having Lynch win clean here can really put a positive note here and get fans excited for the historic WrestleMania main event match.

Rousey will certainly play some part in this tonight.

Women’s Tag Team Championship – The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection (c) vs. Nia Jax & Tamina

Prediction: The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection retain the Women’s Tag Team Championship

I said back at my Elimination Chamber predictions that Nia Jax and Tamina should win the tag titles and give the team of Banks & Bayley a chance to have their WrestleMania moment and win at WM35.

That could still happen if Jax and Tamina win the titles off Boss ‘N Hug Connection and allow the champions to get them back. That would, however, require Sasha Banks to lose her first title which we have seen countless times back when she was battling Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Championship. Give Banks & Bayley the win here and give them a long run as the first Women’s Tag Team Champions.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship – The Usos (c) vs. The Miz & Shane McMahon

Prediction: The Usos retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

The writing has been on the wall the moment The Miz and Shane McMahon won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships that they will break up and face each other at WrestleMania.

Will most likely see the breakup start tonight when they lose against The Usos. The SmackDown tag division is loaded so teams like The Bar, Gallows & Anderson, The New Day and newly reunited Hardy Boyz. These sound like much better WrestleMania matches against Jimmy and Jey.

Raw Tag Team Championship – The Revival (c) vs. Bobby Roode & Chad Gable vs. Ricochet & Aleister Black

WWE.com

Prediction: The Revival retain the Raw Tag Team Championship

The Raw tag team division has been odd for the past year but it is nice to see The Revival getting the titles. They have not done much since, including losing to the NXT pairing of Ricochet and Aleister Black.

The sudden call up of Black & Ricochet has been fun to see as they are excellent performers, but in my opinion, are better as singles competitors. Adding them in the tag division was a nice twist, however.

The Revival need a win here to legitimize them as champions but having Ricochet or Black take the pin here could hurt their main roster stock. Look for either Chad Gable or Bobby Roode to take the pinfall here.

Smackdown Women’s Championship – Asuka (c) vs. Mandy Rose

Prediction: Asuka retains the SmackDown Women’s Championship

With all the attention that the Raw Women’s Championship has been getting for the past couple of months, WWE seems to forget that they have another star on the Blue Brand. Asuka is one of the best women’s wrestlers in the WWE but has not been booked like a legit championship.

Mandy Rose has been great since here push to the main title picture but I do not think she would win here tonight. Giving Asuka the victory and having her hold on to the SmackDown Women’s Championship until WrestleMania will legitimize the title. The question after would be who her opponent will be at the show of shows?

WWE Championship – Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Kevin Owens

Credit: WWE.com

Prediction: Daniel Bryan retains the WWE Championship

Kevin Owens returned after months of being out with a double knee injury and has been on a hot start since coming back to SmackDown. His face run has been better than expected and replacing the original opponent Kofi Kingston has a lot of storylines to look at.

Kingston will somehow get involved here as he looks to seek revenge after being replaced. There is a reason why he was replaced in the first place. He’ll likely be in the WWE title picture come WrestleMania and it makes sense for Bryan to retain here. Give Bryan the title run for few more weeks as it might not make sense to give Owens the belt for a short time and have Kingston win it at WrestleMania.

Overall

Fastlane may be predictable given that it is very close to WrestleMania but there will still be plenty of exciting matches tonight. The title matches will be great in addition to the Flair/Lynch match to set up their WM match. This also can get the start of potential ‘Mania feuds which will make this entire PPV interesting to watch.
